In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. |

بنام خدا؛ هستی بخش مهربان |
|
|
He (Muhammad) frowned and turned away. |
1 |
چهره در هم كشيد و روى بگرداند |
*
|
|
When the blind man came to him. (*) |
2 |
آنگاه که نابينايى به سراغ او آمد |
|
|
How do you know? He might have purified himself. |
3 |
تو چه مىدانى شايد او پاكى و تزکیه پيشه كند |
|
|
Or he may take heed, and benefit from the message. |
4 |
يا متذكر گردد و اين تذكر به حال او مفيد باشد |
|
|
As for the "rich man", |
5 |
اما آن كس كه "بی نیاز" مینمود |
|
|
you gave all your attention. |
6 |
تو به او توجه کامل میکنی |
|
|
Even though you are not accountable for his failure to attain to purity. |
7 |
در حالى كه اگر او خود را پاك نسازد، ملامتی بر تو نيست |
|
|
But as for the one who came to you eagerly, |
8 |
اما كسى كه مشتاقانه به سراغ تو مىآيد و كوشش مىكند |
|
|
and in awe [of God] , |
9 |
و از خدا اندیشناک است |
|
|
You ignored him. |
10 |
تو ناچیزش میشماری واز او روی میگردانی |
|
|
Nay! surely it (Qur'an) is but a reminder: |
11 |
نه ، همانا ابن (قرآن) تذکر و یادآوری است |
|
|
so, whoever is willing may remember Him . |
12 |
پس هر كس بخواهد اورا بیاد آورد |
|
|
In honorable scriptures , |
13 |
آن در نوشته هایی است گرامی داشته |
|
|
Exalted and pure , |
14 |
الواحى ارجمند و پاك |
|
|
(Written) by the hands of messengers , |
15 |
به دست سفیرانی |
|
|
noble and righteous. |
16 |
بزرگواروپرهیزکار |
*
|
|
[But only too often] man destroys himself: how stubbornly does he deny the truth! |
17 |
انسان نابود کند خودرا باکفران و ناسپاسی لجوجانه اش |
|
|
What did He create him from? |
18 |
او را (خداوند)از چه چيز آفريده ؟ |
|
|
From a tiny drop (of seed), He creates him and designs him. |
19 |
از نطفه ناچيزى می آفريند و سپس موزونش میسازد |
|
|
Then He makes the path easy for him. |
20 |
سپس راه (زندگی) را براى او آسان میکند |
|
|
Then He causes him to die, and be put into the grave , |
21 |
بعد او را بميراند و به گورش اندر نماید |
|
|
Then when He wills, He resurrects him. |
22 |
سپس هرگاه بخواهد او را زنده كند و برانگیزاند |
|
|
Nay! but (man) has never yet fulfilled what He commanded him. (**) |
23 |
نه ، هنوز آدمی آنچه را او (خدا) فرمان داده انجام نداده |
|
|
Let the human consider his food! |
24 |
بگزار انسان به خوراک خويش بنگرد |
|
|
We pour down the water in abundance, |
25 |
ما آب فراوانی از آسمان فرو ريزیم |
|
|
Then we split the soil open. |
26 |
سپس زمين را از هم بشكافيم |
|

We cause to grow therein the grain, |
27 |
و از آن دانههاى فراوانى برويانيم |
|
| 80:28 |
Grapes and pasture , |
28 |
انگور و سبزى را |
|
|
Olives and Dates, |
29 |
و زيتون و خرما |
|
|
and gardens dense with foliage, |
30 |
و باغهایى سرسبز |
|
|
Fruits and vegetables. |
31 |
با ميوه و سبزی |
|
|
for you and your animals to enjoy. (***) |
32 |
براى بهرهگيرى شما و چهارپايانتان |
*
|
|
Then, when the deafening blow comes , |
33 |
پس آنگاه که آن صدای گوشخراش هراس انگیز بیاید |
|
|
That is the day when one flees from his brother, |
34 |
در آن روز كه انسان از برادر خود مىگريزد |
|
|
From his mother and father , |
35 |
و از پدر و مادرش |
|
|
From his spouse and children. |
36 |
و ازهمسر و فرزندانش |
|
|
Each one of them, on that day, worries about his own destiny. |
37 |
در آن روز هر كدام از آنها وضعى دارد كه او را كاملا به خود مشغول مىسازد |
|
|
Some faces on that day will be beaming , |
38 |
چهرههائى در آن روز نورانى است |
|
|
Laughing and joyful. |
39 |
خندان و شادان ازاخبارنویدبخش |
|
|
Other faces, on that day, will be dust-stained , |
40 |
و چهره هايى در آن روز غبارآلود است |
|
|
Darkness will cover them , |
41 |
و تاريكى آنها را پوشانده است |
|
|
These are the disbelievers, the wicked. |
42 |
آنان همان كافران بی بندوبارند |
|
