In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. |

بنام خدا؛ هستی بخش مهربان |
|
|
By the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, |
1 |
سوگند به شب آنگاه که ( زمین را) در تاریکی بپوشاند |
*
|
|
And by the day as it rises bright, |
2 |
و به روز آنگاه که تابان شود |
|
|
By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female, |
3 |
و سوگند به آنچه نر و ماده را آفریند |
|
|
Certainly, your efforts and deeds are diverse (different in aims and purposes). |
4 |
که همانا کوشش شما برای هدفهای گوناگونی است |
|
|
As for him who gives (to others) and is conscious of God, |
5 |
پس آنکس که ببخشد و (از خدا) پرواگیرد |
|
|
and testifies to the ultimate good, |
6 |
و نیکوئی را تصدیق کند |
|
|
for him shall We make easy the path towards [ultimate] ease. |
7 |
پس براو آسان گردانیم (انتخاب)راه آسانتر را |
|
|
But he who is stingy and considers himself free from need (of God), |
8 |
و اما آنکس که بخل ورزد و (از خدا)خود را بی نیاز پندارد |
|
|
and calls the ultimate good a lie , |
9 |
و نیکوئی را تکذیب کند |
|
|
for him shall We make easy the path towards hardship: |
10 |
پس بر او آسان نمائیم (رفتن به) راه "سخت تر"را |
|
| 92:11 |
and his wealth will be of no avail to him when he goes down (to his grave). |
11 |
و مال و ثروتش اورا سودی نبخشد آنگاه که (در گور) فروشود |
|
|
Surely Ours is to give guidance. |
12 |
همانا بر عهده مااست هدایت کردن |
|
|
And most surely Ours is the last(hereafter) and the first(this world). |
13 |
و همانا بازپسین(نشئه دیگر) و نشئه نخستین برای مااست |
|
|
and so I warn you of the raging fire , |
14 |
پس بیم میدهم شما را به آتشی که همی زبانه کشد |

|
which only the most wicked must endure, |
15 |
و در آن جای نگیرد و ملازم نشود مگر تیره روزی |
|
|
he who denies(the Truth) and turns away . |
16 |
آنکس که تکذیب کند و یکسره روی بگرداند |
|
|
but most pious shall be removed far from it, |
17 |
و از آن(آتش) زود کناره گیرد آنکس که پارساتر است |
|
|
he who spends his possessions [on others] so that he might grow in purity, |
18 |
آنکس که از ثروت خود میدهد تا پاکیزگی پذیرد |
|
|
not as payment for favours received, |
19 |
نه اینکه پرداختی باشد برای پاداش آینده |
|
|
only seeking the Countenance of his Lord, Most High. |
20 |
بلکه فقط برای توجه به پروردگار بسیاربرتر |
|
|
and he shall soon be well-pleased. |
21 |
و بزودی خوشنود شود |
