بنام خدا؛ هستی بخش مهربان |

Has the story reached you of the overwhelming Event? |
1 |
آیا داستان آن رویداد فراگیرنده بتو رسیده؟ |

|
On that day (some) faces will be downcast, |
2 |
چهرههايى در آن روز افسرده و سر بزیرند |
|
|
labouring (hard), weary, |
3 |
در کشمکش و خسته |
|
|
entering into blazing fire, |
4 |
در حالیکه به آتشی سوزان درآیند |
|
|
are made to drink from a boiling spring. |
5 |
از چشمهاى جوشان به آنان نوشانده شود |
|
|
No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant . |
6 |
برای آنها خوراکی جز شبرق(گیاهی تلخ وبدبو) نیست |
|
|
which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. |
7 |
که نه آنها را فربه كند و نه از گرسنگى برهاند |
|
|
(Other) faces that Day will be joyful, |
8 |
چهرههايى(دیگر) در آن روز شادابند |
|
|
well-pleased with their effort. |
9 |
بسیار خوشنود از تلاش و کوشش خود |
|
|
In an exalted Paradise, |
10 |
در بهشت برین |
|
|
wherein, no nonsense is heard, |
11 |
در آن سخن بیهوده نمیشنوند |
|
|
therein, spring running , |
12 |
در آن چشمه (ها) روان است |
|
|
therein, thrones raised high, |
13 |
در آن تختهایی است مرتفع |
|
|
and drinking-cups placed ready, |
14 |
و جامها آماده شده |
|
|
and cushions set in rows, |
15 |
و بالشها ردیف چیده شده |

|
|
and carpets spread out . |
16 |
و فرشها بهرسو گسترده شده |
|
|
Do they [who deny resurrection] never gaze at the "clouds pregnant with water", [and observe] how they are created? |
17 |
آیا ابرهای باران زا را نمىنگرند كه چگونه آفريده شده ؟ |
|
|
and at the sky, how it is raised high? |
18 |
و به آسمان كه چگونه برافراشته شده؟ |
|
|
and at the mountains, how firmly are fixed? |
19 |
و بکوهها که چه استوار نصب شده ؟ |
|
|
and at the earth, how it is spread out? |
20 |
و بزمین که چگونه گسترده شده؟ |
|
|
So, [O Prophet,] do remind , for you are only one who reminds, |
21 |
پس تذكر ده كه تو فقط تذكر دهندهاى |
|
|
you can not compel them[to believe]. |
22 |
تو سلطهگر بر آنان نيستى كه مجبورشان كنى |
|
|
But whoever turns away and denies[the truth]. |
23 |
اما كسى كه پشت كند و كافر شود |
|
|
Then God will punish him with the greatest punishment. |
24 |
خداوند او را به بزرگترین عذاب کیفر مىدهد |
|
|
Verily, to Us will be their return, |
25 |
همانا بسوی مااست بازگشتشان |
|
|
Then verily, it is for Us will be to call them to account. |
26 |
سپس همانا بر عهده مااست حسابشان |
|
